Overview of the Accounts Receivable Specialist Role:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts receivable transactions. In this role, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will:
- Oversee the collection of overdue amounts from clients, ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Maintain the accounting ledger by posting all accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to track trends and ensure accuracy.
- The Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle cash applications and reconcile account statements to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Act as the liaison for customers to resolve discrepancies, answer billing inquiries, and ensure accurate financial information.
- The Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure compliance with internal accounting controls and maintain financial security.
- Assist in month-end procedures and other accounting tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- 2-3 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong attention to detail.
- Construction industry exposure is a plus!
- The Accounts Receivable Specialist should have excellent communication skills, particularly in billing matters, and be able to work independently with sound judgment.
