Central Florida Surgical Center and Citrus Ambulatory Surgery Center are outpatient endoscopic facilities specializing in colon cancer screening and gastroenterology. Our experienced, Board Certified physicians are experts in digestive health. From the waiting room to the recovery room, we want patients and their families to feel at ease during each visit. Conveniently located in the Orlando area, our two locations offer personalized, private service at nearly half the cost a hospital would charge. We are currently searching for a fulltime experience patient financial counselor / patient medical collections to work Mondays - Fridays in our Ocoee office who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Key responsibilities, include welcoming patients and visitors, collecting patient identification cards and insurance information, updating patient accounts, collecting copayments and deductibles, recording payments in the billing system other administrative duties; must have ability to multi-task. We are seeking an experience patient financial counselor / patient medical collections, who understands how to submit patient statements, makes patient collection calls, works out payment plans, places patient accounts to bad debt and with external collection agency, who is bilingual, sends out patient letters, post patient payments, assist the front desk and covers lunches, and who can also collect on insurance tracking accounts. You must possess a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience (preferably 2 years in an Ambulatory Surgery Center), experience in Endoscopy/Multi-specialty/Ophthalmology/ASC, ability to speak and understand the English language, strong ethical and moral character references, and excellent telephone and basic computer skills.
