Vana Solutions delivers technical solutions supporting complex organizational objectives while solving business-driven challenges.This is an immediate opportunity for an Acquisition Project Lead to support the new Digital Capabilities Directorate (IZ/ID). This is a HYBRID position. The successful candidate can work a part-time on-site and a work-from-home schedule. Candidate must be local to Dayton, Ohio.
Responsibilities:The Project Lead will support the AFRL/IZO Division Chief in developing and supporting an acquisition/contract strategy. The Acquisition Project Lead will provide a full range of program management support to AFRL/IZ directorate, in accordance with DoDD 5000.01, Defense Acquisition System, DODI 5000.75, DoDI 5000.02, Adaptive Acquisition Framework, and AFI 63-101/20- 101, Integrated Life Cycle Management guidance and will serve as an adviser to government personnel. Duties will include planning, executing, and controlling acquisition programs through all phases of the acquisition life cycle.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, possesses broad U.S. Air Force acquisition experience, is comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative work environment, and can identify and prioritize necessary tasks/activities to ensure program and organizational success.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of:Documentation of acquisition strategiesStatements of Work or Performance Work Statements and other Request for Proposal documentsTechnical evaluation of program proposalsIdentification, analysis, mitigation development, and monitoring of program risks, issues, and opportunities.Development and analysis of program Integrated Master SchedulesAnalysis of program cost performance (Earned Value Management) and implementation of corrective actions.Minimum QualificationsActive SECRET clearanceBachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Business Management or Engineering discipline, plus eight (8) years of Program Management experience, four (4) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition ProgramsExtensive knowledge and demonstrated application of DoD and Air Force program management policies and procedures on an ACAT IIIAbility to work effectively both independently and a part of a collaborative team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred RequirementsPrevious experience and knowledge of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) processPrevious GS-1101 or GS-1102 experience preferred.Requirements development and verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, T&E, system architectures, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.Development of integrated master schedules (IMS) and analysis of critical path and schedule execution using Microsoft Project.
