The Moorings at Lewes is seeking highly energetic Activities Aides to join our team!The Moorings at Lewes is a Springpoint Senior Living Life Plan Community located in Lewes, DE. We are currently seeking part-time Activities Aides to join our team. At Springpoint, our Activities Aide is responsible for providing therapeutic activity programs to the residents.Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing, developing, and directing all therapeutic activities for groups or individuals to meet the needs of the residents.
- Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic activities.
- Prepare supplies, lists of participants and schedules for each activity. Escort residents to and from groups. Conduct group activities.
- Keep a daily record of types and number of activities in which each resident participated.
- Attend all scheduled educational offerings pertaining to Patient Activities and Resident Care.
- Assist with outings.
- Position requires a schedule that includes every other weekend of work.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Certification from the National Council for Activity Professionals or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation is preferred
- 2 Years experience in a similar role preferred
