Part-Time Activities AssistantFacility: Charlotte Bay Rehab and Care CenterShift: Saturdays and Sundays, 8:300 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary: $16 per hour

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others? Charlotte Bay Rehab and Care Center is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, youll work closely with residents to plan, implement, and evaluate recreational programs that enrich their lives and foster engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, developing, and organizing recreation programs.
  • Observe and report resident mood, behavior, and engagement levels, ensuring activities align with their needs.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and the care team to tailor recreation plans.
  • Support discharge planning and participate in resident assessments.
  • Conduct interviews with residents and family members to gather recreation preferences and goals.
  • Participate in community and facility events, ensuring residents are engaged and included.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless implementation of activities.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of resident progress and participation in recreation programs.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning up activity areas and ensure all equipment is ready and in good condition.
  • Supervise field trips and community outings, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to meet the general health requirements as defined by the facility, which may include a medical and physical exam.
  • Capacity to lift between 5 to 45 pounds, periodically and as needed.
  • 1 year of experience in a nursing home or similar setting is preferred.
