Pay Grade Job Description Activities/Certified Nursing Assistant meets the communication needs of the resident, family and staff. Prepares and compiles records in the facility. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Maintains proficiency with current Long Term Care software. Orders necessary supplies and equipment for staff and resident use. Provide administrative support to the director. The performance standards are considered a reasonable outline of the essential job functions; however, each individual position may require different skills and duties if necessity dictates. Provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of the RN or LPN. Assists resident with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comforts and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for assigned group of residents.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must provide a Certificate of Completion as a Geriatric Nurses Aide
Experience Two-years of geriatric experience preferred.
Certification & Licensures BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required * * New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Qualifications Experienced an competent in Microsoft Office required Secretary training/experience preferred One of the following is required: Knowledgeable in the basic stages of human growth and development and competent to provide care appropriate to the age group of patients served.
