POSITION DESCRIPTION:Responsible for planning and implementing social, recreational and educational activities for independent living residents, with a focus on wellness. Work closely in coordination with other departments, and assist them as part of a team effort. Reports directly to Administrator.GENERAL DUTIES•Development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote the patients' opportunities for engaging in normal life enhancement pursuits and to increase and/or maintain functioning levels.•Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.•Encourages patient participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities, recreational activities, etc.•Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.QUALIFICATIONS•High School Diploma with course work in recreation is desirable; Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.•Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., desired.•Must have an active Certified Nursing Assistant License within the state of Kansas.BENEFITS•401K•Annual evaluations•Dental insurance•Disability insurance•Electronic documentation•Employee appreciation events•Health insurance•Life insurance•Modified Comp•Paid time off•Tuition reimbursement•Vision insurance
