Activity Aide Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and organization of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents or clients.
- Engage participants in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, and social events.
- Adapt activities to meet the physical and cognitive needs of participants, ensuring inclusivity.
- Provide individual or group support to encourage participation and promote social interaction.
- Set up and maintain activity spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-equipped.
- Document participant attendance, behavior, and responses to activities.
- Collaborate with the activities coordinator, healthcare professionals, and families to tailor activities to individual needs and preferences.
- Assist in transporting participants to and from activity locations when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies related to activity programs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients.

Activity Aide Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year experience in a similar role or working with older adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic personality.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow directions.
- Physical stamina to assist residents with mobility and participate in physical activities.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
