Location: Vestal,NY, USA
We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual for our Activities Department.
Education
1. High school education or the equivalent. A college background or special training courses are recommended but not required.
2. Certified Nurse's Aide experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
1. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time doing paperwork.
2. Must be able to work extended hours as needed for the facility.
3. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, climb, lift and carry heavy objects.
4. Must be able to work for extended periods of time on the computer.
Responsibilities
1. Attendance of mandatory staff in-services, training programs, departmental staff meetings, and any other meetings as assigned by the Director of Recreation.
2. Decoration of the units within the facility at holiday times. This may include hanging wall and/or ceiling decorations, climbing ladders, setting up displays, storage of seasonal items.
3. Responsible for the major running of group programs under the guidance of the Recreation Director, including patient transporting residents to and from program, set up, program content, supervision of residents, and clean up. This could also include going out of the facility for trips with the residents and
4. Minor record keeping as follows: daily participation in group programs of the day and also who received individual programs, the daily volunteer sign-in sheets for individual and group volunteers will be tallied and transferred onto statistic forms by the leader at the end of each month. PCRC notes and charting as assigned by the director.
