TITLE: Activity Security Representative IIILOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO; Shriever SFBCLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DoD Top Secret ClearanceEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-sitePOSITION SUMMARYModern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking an Activity Security Representative to play a vital role in protecting our nation's most sensitive information. In this dynamic position, you'll provide comprehensive security support to a top-tier customer's facility, ensuring the safety of Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact on national security while working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Review and maintain classification records, document accountability, and process classified materials, including mail, receipts, magnetic media, and destruction.
- Maintain daily logs, customer databases, point of contact listings, and personnel security files; follow/enforce Standard Operating Procedures.
- Process and transfer inbound/outbound data files; manage visit notices, escort visitors, assist with facility access badges, and maintain access control systems.
- Conduct entry/exit inspections, data entry in security systems, and maintain customer billets/quota info.
- Support security awareness and education programs; provide administrative support, including data entry/record checks in Air Force Access Data System.
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processes; participate in Air Force SAP inspections and implement Top Secret Control for accountable material.
- Prepare/process classified correspondence and packages; review Program Access Requests, execute SAP Nomination Process Questionnaires, and conduct security reviews.
- Conduct Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access.
- Conduct indoctrinations, traverse between buildings as needed, and perform sedentary work at least 50% of the time.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must also possess eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
- Must possess 2+ years of Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
- Bachelor's degree or an additional 4 years of relevant experience*.
- 5-7 years related experience in personnel and physical security, or other relevant field.
- *Relevant Equivalent Experience:
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
- Must complete the DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training (if performing personnel security functions).
- Ability to manage stress with professionalism, demonstrate leadership and critical thinking, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
