Details:
This is an extra-duty contract position starting January 30, 2025, with a stipend in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Job Goals:
Support the PHS FFA Advisor and chapter activities, including coaching FFA Career Development Events (CDEs).
Attend FFA meetings, conventions, and CDE events, with additional responsibilities for agricultural facilities support and supervision.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with students, parents, school personnel, and community members.
Commitment to a year-round contract with availability for summer events, including county and state fairs.
Experience or willingness to build and support a high-profile FFA program that actively involves parents, students, and community members.
Capable of obtaining van certification to transport students safely to activities and events.
Knowledgeable in handling livestock and ensuring safety measures around animals.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Preferences:
Strong organizational skills.
Experience in an agricultural setting and/or with transporting livestock.
Previous experience working with students.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
