What you'll do at OhioMHAS:
* Provides direct adjunctive therapy services to patients through a comprehensive program of recreation, art, or music for assigned unit by conducting individual and groups sessions.
* Completes documentation as assigned and meets The Joint Commission and CMS standards.
* Functions as a primary member of assigned disciplinary treatment team.
* Evaluates patients, formulates, and implements adjunctive therapy interventions of patient treatment plan.
* Participates and attends meetings and conferences as assigned and acts as representative of the Adjunctive Therapy department as required.
This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 27 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. This position is located within our Central Ohio Behavior Healthcare Campus at 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223.

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of associate degree in recreation or specialty area (e.g., music, art, drama); 12 mos. exp. in Activity Therapy; valid drivers' license. Note: must have certification in animal-assisted therapy if utilizing trained animals for therapeutic goal reaching purposes.
* Or completion of undergraduate core program in recreation or specialty area (e.g., music, art, drama); valid drivers' license.
* Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
