Metro has an immediate opening for a part-time motivated and skilled Acupuncturist in our Riverhead office. You will be responsible for treatments with needles / e-stim / cupping Initials / reevaluations / daily notes tracking and working alongside a team of physical and occupational therapists. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assumes responsibility for the evaluation and treatment of patients needing Acupuncturist services.
  • Diagnoses and treats musculoskeletal conditions of spinal column and extremities to prevent disease and correct abnormalities of the body.
  • Examines patients to determine nature and extent of disorder.
  • Performs diagnostic procedures including physical, neurological and orthopedic examinations.
  • Treatment of general medicine and internal medicine conditions including but not limited to gyno, gastro, pulmonary and cardiac.
  • Enhance and expand patient relations when possible.
  • Perform any other duties as needed and/or requested by Metro's Management team.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Acupuncture required
  • Certified Acupuncturist credentialed from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years performing acupuncture required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Salary Description $30-$45/hr
