Job Description:
- Operate additive manufacturing equipment (including related software pre-processing steps).
- Post-process additive manufacturing parts, including gluing, sanding, cleaning, and/or modifying plastic parts.
- Operate hand tools.
- Maintain and service workshop machinery and laboratory equipment.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Monitor and control stock levels in the laboratory.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the rapid prototyping industry preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including handling problem situations with customers.
- Computer skills, attention to detail, organized, with critical-thinking skills.
- Experience working in 3D CAD, particularly CATIA and preferably Magics or other AM software.
- Basic understanding of all part finishing techniques and ability to complete tasks with moderate supervision in a timely manner.
- Basic understanding of part cleaning and curing processes.
- Measure parts using applicable tools and software and report results.
- Basic math skills, familiar with the metric system.
- Excellent communication and phone skills.
- Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Perform lower level periodic maintenance on all RP equipment.
- Calibration and maintenance of workshop and laboratory equipment.
- Hands-on use of in-house rapid prototyping systems.
