Job Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
* The person selected will:
* Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice;
* Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs;
* Prepare complete course syllabi and outline, and work on articulation with local colleges and universities;
* Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success;
* Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments;
* Participate in district/college/division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program;
* Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee;
* Be committed to the participatory governance process.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Administration of Justice at California Community Colleges:
* Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
* Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
* The equivalent OR
* Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
