If you are a current Barnard College employee, please use the internal career site to apply for this position.Job:Adjunct Assistant Professor: ANTH BC3871 Senior Thesis Seminar IJob Summary:The Anthropology Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach ANTH BC3871 Senior Thesis Seminar I during the FA24 semester.Job Description:The exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.Course description: Discussion of research methods and planning and writing of a Senior Essay in Anthropology will accompany research on problems of interest to students, culminating in the writing of individual Senior Essays. There will be periodic consultation and discussion between the student and adviser as well as the meeting of specific deadlines set by the department each semester. This course is co-taught.Strong candidate already identified.Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree in a related discipline, strongly preferred.Course Pay Rate: $8,250The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
