Location: Saint Bonaventure,NY, USA
St. Bonaventure University (SBU) is seeking faculty for the Chemistry Department to teach undergraduate curriculum. This is an adjunct part-time position, starting in the Fall of 2024. The main focus of the position will be to teach a non-science-major lecture course (CHEM 100) & corresponding laboratory (CHML 100), or general chemistry laboratory courses (CHML 101), or some combination of courses. Review of applications will be considered on a roll-in basis. All laboratory courses are expected to meet in-person. The lecture course (CHEM 100) will have a hybrid option, with in-person examinations.
Adjunct/ Part Time Benefits:
Responsibilities will include:
* Teaching, including the preparation of course syllabi and classes
* Holding office hours (in-person and/or virtual)
* The preparation and grading of examinations
* The supervision of laboratories and other practica
* Additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair
Successful candidates will have the following selected qualifications and skills:
M.S. (or equivalent progress in a current Ph.D. program) in Chemistry or a closely related field, evidence of successful teaching and/or TA experience.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Compensation will be paid on a bi-weekly basis of $2,500- $3,000 per course instructed.
