Salary: See Position DescriptionLocation : Springfield, MAJob Type: AdjunctJob Number: 00106Department: Occupational TherapyOpening Date: 07/02/2024Description Springfield College invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 in the Department of Occupational Therapy. The Department is seeking individuals who are passionate about the profession and support our goal to prepare professionals for leadership in the use of human occupation to promote people's participation in meaningful life roles and activities.Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit courseCompensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit course. Responsibilities
  • Teach and facilitate lecture and/or lab courses within the Department of Occupational Therapy at our Springfield College Campus.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on assignments and discussions.
  • Facilitate active communication with students to support their learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the OT Program Director and other faculty to ensure course content meets program standards and objectives.
  • Participate in curriculum development and course revision as needed.
Qualifications
  • Initial certification as an occupational therapist
  • OT Licensure or eligible for OT licensure in Massachusetts
  • Strong commitment to student success and academic excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Documented experience in content area of course focus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At Least 1 year of clinical experience
  • Previous teaching experience and/or serving as a fieldwork educator
  • Familiarity with online learning systems such as Brightspace
