Salary: See Position DescriptionLocation : Springfield, MAJob Type: AdjunctJob Number: 00166Department: Health SciencesOpening Date: 12/18/2024DescriptionThe Department of Public Health and Health Professions at Springfield College welcomes applications for a part-time position teaching one section of Health Assessment (HSCI 320) in the Spring 2025 semester, with a start date of January 22nd, 2025. This course (HSCI 320) familiarizes students with the range and variety of techniques used in assessing health-related conditions and states, including disease screening, diagnostic testing, and quantifying subjective aspects of health status. Students learn how health assessments are developed, validated, and implemented, and how health professionals use the results of these assessments to inform subsequent interventions to improve patient and public health. The role of health assessment in the context of epidemiologic research is discussed.This course will be offered during the SP25 semester on Thursdays from 4:15 - 6:45 pm. This course will be taught in person and on campus in Springfield, MA.
  • Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit course.
  • Compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit course.
