This position will assist with the curriculum updates; the successful candidate will teach occupational skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in the field and to secure a job in their new career; demonstrate occupational materials, tools, equipment, and processes using standard or instructor-prepared instructional aides; instruct students in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of tools and equipment; control the storage, maintenance, and use of materials and property to prevent loss or abuse; and establish and maintain standards of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in an activity-type classroom.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an HVAC Certification;or Certification in EPA 608 Levels 1 and 2 plus 3 years of experience in HVAC field.Proficiency with installation and repair on various types of commercial and residential air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration units; working knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC, building code requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations, and job site safety are required.
