Job Summary
This adjunct faculty member teaches courses in the area of Criminal Justice within the College's School of Justice Program.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Provides classroom instruction
* Participates in curriculum development and revision
* Assess the curriculum against state and national standards
* Supervises field experiences and/or inernship
* Serves as a resource for faculty members and other program areas
* Serves on school, campus and College committees
* Recruits and advises Criminal Justice Students
* Participates in grant writing and acquisition of external funding for the School of Justice
* Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
* Master's degree in Criminal Justice from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice or Public Safety
* All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
* Three (3) years experience in college or univeristy teaching preferred
* Must possess current knowledge of curriculum and methodology issues in Public Safety and Criminal Justice
* Qualified applicants must demonstrate positive human relationa and communications skills
* Must be willing to work on mutiple campuses/outreach locations
