The department offers baccalaureate degrees in chemistryand minors in physics and environmental science. We are looking for part-time,adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate physics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in physics. The current need is for anadjunct instructor of General Physics 1 & 2.Demonstrate effective teaching strategies by planning andimplementing a variety of teaching methods as well as assessment.Maintain accurate records and documents and submit timely reports.Records/documents include but are not limited to syllabi, grades, and officehours.Know and uphold the policies in the most current faculty handbook. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to sit or stand for longperiods of time while performing office and computer operations.Must be able to teach in a classroom setting.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:This position is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than29 hours per week) with teaching load at the Hardin-Simmons University campus.Must be a resident of the state of Texas.
