Salary: Depends on QualificationsLocation : Glenville, WVJob Type: AdjunctJob Number: 0485TA00012aaDivision: Language and Literature DepartmentOpening Date: 08/02/2024Description Glenville State University invites applications from individuals interested in part-time employment as Adjunct Faculty to teach in-person and online general education public speaking courses for our traditional college students and dual enrollment/dual credit students.Students develop skills for delivering speeches in a variety of styles with an emphasis on extemporaneous delivery style. Students deliver 5 to 7 speeches throughout the semester while learning best practices for conducting and integrating research and adapting their messages to audiences for a range of informative and persuasive speeches. $600/credit hour for candidates with non-terminal graduate degrees; $700/credit hour for candidates with terminal degrees. Courses are three credit hours. Examples of Duties While course syllabi and instructional materials will be provided by Glenville State University, instructors may adapt some aspects of the course with departmental approval. Typical Qualifications A master's degree in the content area or a master's degree in a related area with 18+ graduate hours in the content area is required. Salary is commensurate with degree qualifications.
