Job Posting Summary
The Department of Humanities at Mercy University seeks part time, adjunct instructors to teach religion to undergraduate students.
Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up to three section(s) of our introductory survey of world religions course per semester.
Commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence is required.
Candidates may also be asked to provide assistance with program assessment and development and to attend select programmatic or professional development meetings.
Schedule: Day and Evening teaching likely to be required.
Location: Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ Masters or Doctorate from accredited institution in an appropriate academic discipline.
+ Demonstrated experience successfully teaching philosophy on the college-level.
+ Experience with learning management systems (Blackboard preferred)
Physical/Other Requirements:
+ Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies.
Compensation is based on a semester and calculated on a semi-monthly pay cycle.
Mercy University promotes a community campus environment. As a result, employment is limited to the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
