Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can change lives? Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for
undergraduate level English or Communications class for the upcoming Summer
quarter, starting July 1st in a hybrid format. The hybrid format is described as teaching the course in both the in-person and online modalities. This role requires 11 in-person meeting sessions for 2 hours every week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day/evening) at a specific Strayer University Campus. The balance of the course is instructed asynchronously online.Strayer Adjunct Faculty are not just instructors; they are also coaches and mentors. - Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
- Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.
- Arrive on-campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions per week during the academic quarter.
- Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.
- Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
- Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
- Adhere to University policies and procedures.
- Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
Job Skills:- Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
- Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
- Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
Work Experience:- Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
- Evidence of professional or academic experience with writing, planning, and communications-related technology
Education:- Master's degree in English, English Education, or Communications OR Master's degree in a related area with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter hours of graduate course work in Composition and/or Communications is Required from a regionally accredited institution.
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:- Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).
Other:- Must be able to travel weekly to the required location(s).

Strayer University Adjunct Faculty are compensated based on the number and type of course(s) that are taught in a given quarter.
