Job Description:
The LIEOC at Farmingdale State College periodically seeks experienced instructors to teach allied health courses to adult learners. Courses offered include, but are not limited to, Certified Nursing Aide, Home Health Aide, Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy Aide and Direct Support Professional. Classes are offered on various days of the week on both morning and evening schedules. Successful candidates will be experienced and adept at teaching allied health skills to all levels of adult students. Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in an allied health or related field
* Necessary teaching certifications for program
* At least three years of experience teaching
* Strong written and communication skills
* Willingness to teach mornings or evenings
* Ability to teach in person and online
* Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
* Philosophy of education appropriate for the adult learner
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's Degree in an allied health or related field
* At least five years of experience teaching in adult education, higher education, or health care industry training program
* Knowledge of D2L Brightspace and Banner
* Experience using online platforms/instructional technology
