Job Description:
The Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Studies Department of Molloy University seeks faculty members to teach introductory Anatomy and Physiology (lecture and laboratory) on campus during the Spring 2025 semester. The successful candidate should have a minimum of a master's degree in biology or an appropriate related field, and have early morning, daytime and/or evening availability. Candidates with previous college/university teaching experience desired. The adjunct faculty members are responsible for:
  • Preparing and delivering face to face and/or online instruction to undergraduate students in cooperation with the department's Chairperson and other faculty.
  • Using a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning and encourage active learning in all students.
  • Maintaining proper class-related records.
  • Promptly assessing student's coursework and apprising students of progress.
  • Meeting with students before or after class to attend to their course related questions.

SALARY INFORMATIONWhen determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as discipline specific knowledge, skills, education and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $1,130.00 per credit (Undergraduate Instructor) to $1,280.00 per credit (Graduate Assistant Professor). This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
