Posting DetailsPosition Information Job Title Adjunct Instructor - Construction Engineering Technology Job Description Responsible for the teaching of an assigned course on an adjunct bases in an assigned format at assigned sites as well as the other duties and responsibilities inherent in this position. Reports to the chairperson of the School of Manufacturing, Maritime, & Transportation on the Harrison County Campus.Job Duties 1. Work with the school chair in the continued evaluation and improvement of curricula. Update syllabi annually.2. Strive to better understand students' learning styles and work to improve teaching methods, content, and value of each course taught.3. Provide students with course objectives and course outlines that have been approved by the school chair and the Dean of Teaching & Learning.4. Counsel students and refer them to appropriate campus counselors as needed.5. Work to maintain proper public relations with the community.6. Use diverse instructional methodology including audio-visual, computer software, and other7. Perform other duties as requested by the chairperson of the School of Manufacturing, Maritime, & Transportation, Dean of Teaching & Learning, and Campus Vice President.Mandatory Qualifications (M1) Associate's degree in Construction Engineering Technology or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (M2) Ability to teach college-level Construction Engineering Technology courses.(M3) Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.Desirable Qualifications (D1) Experience in teaching at the college level. (D2) Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate in related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
