About this roleInstruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Transcripts produced through web-based student systems will not be accepted.Hospitality, Culinary, and Baking & Pastry adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement. Prepare lesson plans to follow the curriculum. Prepare kitchen lab for demonstrations and student production; prepare purchase orders for planned production.Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet student needs and support student engagement. Create learning experiences integrating multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies to maximize student success, such as hybrid, in-person, virtual, and online course delivery.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related and appropriate field and at least two years of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught. One year of recent related occupational experience may be waived if the instructor has at least two years of postsecondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field. Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.Qualified employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job-specific licensing standards.
