We are proud to offer a pragmatic and professional approach to higher education through our course offerings and professional opportunities Description of JobThe Department of Media & Entertainment (MAE) is seeking new adjunct faculty beginning January 2025.The responsibilities of the part-time adjunct instructor position include teaching quality courses in Media & Entertainment. We are looking for qualified individuals who can teach in the areas of Multimedia Graphics and Design (including publication layout, vector/raster image design, and broadcast graphics) and Interactive and Immersive media (including wireframing, XR design, immersive/interactive content, coding). The ability to fluently use Apple and Windows computer systems, Adobe applications, web-based content, industry standard equipment, and other software is essential for these positions.The Adjunct Instructor of MAE will perform the following duties:The selected candidate for this in-person, on-campus position will teach baccalaureate level courses in the Media & Entertainment program in accordance with program needs.Specific duties include:
  • preparing and presenting course materials according to department curricular needs;
  • assessing student performance;
  • preparing, administering, and grading assignments;
  • mentoring students and/or student media area as needed;
  • holding office hours;
  • attend department meetings as needed;
  • assigning final grades.

  • Bachelor's level degree
  • Significant relevant professional experience (5+ years) and/or a post-baccalaureate certificate in relevant field
  • Technological fluency appropriate for assigned courses
  • Experience teaching OR training
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's or terminal degree in media, entertainment, digital communications, or related field
  • Significant relevant professional experience
  • Technological expertise appropriate for assigned courses
  • Experience teaching in post-secondary environments or with professional training in the industry
