**Adjunct Instructor - Technical Writing****Department:**Humanities & Social Sciences

**Position Summary:**Instructor for advanced undergraduate courses in technical writing focused on technical and professional writing, application of rhetorical knowledge, collaboration, and revision. Courses may be taught face-to-face or via asynchronous online instruction.

**Essential Functions:**

* Develop and deliver lectures, organize class activities relevant to course material, prepare and grade assignments and exams to assess student achievement.

* Learn to use Canvas, NJITs online course management system.

* Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class. Submit grades to the registrar at the end of the semester.

* Maintain university standards for asynchronous instruction if teaching in that modality.

**Prerequisite Qualifications:**

* Masters degree in English or related field.

* Previous college-level teaching experience required.
