Overview
The Clinical Instructor will teach in the undergraduate program at a clinical site with 8-9 students with an emphasis on the care of a patient within the psychiatric/medical-surgical patient population. Clinical instructors are expected to be available for all clinical assignments once scheduled during the semester.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Complete facility orientation prior to the start of clinical.
* Create patient assignments prior to the start of the clinical day.
* Supervise students in all aspects of care of patients/clients.
* Review and provide feedback for all written clinical assignments.
* Submit grades for assignments as directed by course coordinator.
* Provide weekly feedback to students in the clinical area.
* Complete midterm/final clinical evaluations.
* Plan instructional activities for pre/post conferences.
* Communicate and issues at the clinical site with course coordinator.
* Responsible for all clinical hours assigned to the course.
* Assist in Proctoring exams if needed.
* Attend faculty meetings once a semester.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
* Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
* Medical/Surgical nursing background (3-5 years' experience), including clinical supervision of students
Licensures/Certifications
* Valid NY State Professional RN license
* Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Health Provider

* Self-directed and organized

USD $90.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary
USD $80.00/Hr.
