In the spirit of Vincent de Paul and Elizabeth Ann Seton, we foster an understanding of our common humanity, a commitment to human dignity, and a full appreciation of our obligations to each other.Through its School of Professional and Continuing Studies, the University extends its primary undergraduate mission by offering high quality graduate studies in business, education and nursing and an array of undergraduate and certificate programs serving non-traditional students.The Division of Communication, Art, and Media is seeking a qualified instructor of animation to teach one course 3 credit course on Wednesday evenings for undergraduate majors/minors in visual arts and experimental media and/or communication.This position will begin - January 16, 2024Responsibilities:
  • Teach Adobe Animate from the Adobe CC Suite where students will explore creating 2D models and environments, 2D animating and realistic character development, camera movement, and rendering associated with a finished animation
  • Assess and grade assignments, projects, and exams, and returning them to students promptly
  • Provide 2 hours each week of office hours to support students with guidance and refer them to support services as needed
  • Participate in curriculum review, modification, and assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in both the academic discipline and teaching methods
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to align course requirements and contribute to departmental goals
Requirements
  • Master of Fine Arts or Masters of Arts - related fields
  • Proven record of teaching experience
  • Available on Wednesday evenings
