Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for our part-time adjunct faculty pool for Sciences and Mathematics. Potential areas of need may be in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Astronomy, Physics, Math, Education, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology. This position is considered a temporary, part-time position used to fill both online and in person courses.

Job Duties:

Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials.

Provides instruction to students in the particular area of Business and Economics. Including topics such as micro and macro Economics, contemporary Economics, marketing, varied areas of management and other related topics.

Prepares lesson plans (as needed) and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress.

Utilizes approved online course templates and syllabus format, maintains, classroom order and discipline.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an accredited association.

3-5 years of experience in discipline area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants accepted for online course assignments will be required to complete a Faculty Certification Training Program for Online Instructors and meet (online or in-person) with a member of the distance learning staff.
