Job DetailsLevel Entry Job Location WACO HOME OFFICE - Waco, TX Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Description Texas Meter & Device Co. needs an experienced Inside Sales Representative/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position involves taking incoming calls, preparing and submitting quotes for customers along with sales order entry and processing. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Pay range is negotiable based on skills and experience. Job Duties:
  • Develops business opportunities via phone, walk-in and on-site customers
  • Establishes relationships with new and existing customers
  • Performs general customer service and clerical duties related to inquiry response, conflict resolution, order management and order entry
  • Services all customers by communicating with customers via email, phone and in-person to discover what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth customer interaction
  • Creates quotes, purchase orders and sales orders for tools and offered services in the accounting software system and process all related paperwork
  • Follows up on general inquiries related to products and offered services
  • Prepares and submits product quotes to customers
  • Researches questions, quotes, orders and invoices and prepares appropriate communications regarding such
  • Performs general office duties including answering the phone, faxing, copying, scanning, filing and processing of payments, related purchase orders and invoices
  • Works with vendors to manage existing and forecasted sales
  • Coordinates with outside sales to pursue and support business opportunities
Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of Inside Sales or Administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous tool sales experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and administrative skills
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office products)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using MAS/SAGE 100 accounting software is highly preferred
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
Hours are generally 8am - 5pm, M-F; some overtime may be required when needed
