Under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences Development and Alumni Relations, this position provides analytical support of the campaign related activities for UC Davis Health including SOM, Cancer Center and Neuro/Eye Sciences through developing and implementing systems/processes to track campaign progress as it relates to major and principal gift projects. Additionally, this position provides the following: Strategic leadership to the UC Davis Health Campaign Board, leading and developing strategic plans and managing these plans in a manner consistent with professional standards and campus protocols, helping volunteers build effective volunteer boards as well as develop a pipeline for UCDH Board Members and Foundation Board Trustees. This position designs board meetings, activities, and events to strategically highlight UCDH campaign priorities. In partnerships with HSDA AVCs, develops and executes board succession plans and retention strategies. Partnering closely with UCD Foundation Board Secretary and other DEVAR staff members, this position works closely with the Director of Volunteer Engagement and others to: ensure synergies and cohesion between the Foundation Board and the UCDH Campaign volunteer boards, clearly communicating the UCDH visions/goals and expectations and ensuring alignment with the vision of UCDH and HSDA. Strategically develops a pipeline for Trustee candidates, identifying potential Trustees from the UCDH unit boards. Cultivates and recruits new representatives from units boards to serve on the Global Campaign Leadership Council (GCLC). Maintains relationships with outgoing campaign board members and develops personalized, ongoing volunteer plans. Develops UCDH and HSDA wide protocols for identifying, recruiting and orienting volunteers. Partners with and leads discussions with AVCs, development directors on board recruitment, board structure and programming. Manages programmatic planning activities and actively track/report on annual goals and outreach activities. Strategically develops annual plans for board meetings and related activities, including and not limited to an annual board retreat and educational seminars, to maximize engagement and philanthropic support.
