Although we have grown significantly, we intend to maintain a culture of individual responsibility and Mission Focused Self-Management™.The Mission and PositionThis colleague's Mission will be to contribute to the success of The Morning Star Company. To communicate with Colleagues at all facilities, effectively and efficiently. Provide administrative support to Colleague's at all facilities as needed.Specific Responsibilities and Activities
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with key colleagues and exterior resources, including (not limited to) financial institutions, legal, CPA, insurance, property procurement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify colleague, customer and vendor needs, and opportunities.
  • Handle corporate accounting tasks, assist in the preparation of financial statements, conduct financial analysis to support business operations
  • Ensure that accurate information is provided on a timely basis and assists in facilitating related financial and/or operational projects
  • Manage daily financial requirements
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks such as data entry, generating reports, research and resolve account discrepancies
  • Organize to accurate completion Logistical statistics
  • Organize, maintain, and track activities and commitments in conjunction with appropriate colleagues
  • Facilitate and assists with formation of new business creation
  • Transparent about company goals and the greater vision with the ability to identify ways to improve administrative processes, implement creative solutions, while supporting Enterprise culture
  • High degree of integrity, commitment, with problem solving ability and diligence to follow through to resolution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the enterprise and maintain internal and external relationships pertaining to various enterprise activities and commitments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and resourceful problem-solver. Can anticipate needs and make recommendations for solutions or ways to gain efficiencies
  • Willingness to preform general office and clerical duties, as the need arise with humility
  • Full Charge-accounting for non-profit and smaller scale entities-A/P, A/R, review and analysis
  • Yearly business filings: Permits, applications, state filings
  • Property Tax statements, tracking and payments
  • General office Admin support and back up (all colleague, cover vacations etc.)
  • In Season support-data tracking, reporting, analysis, and balance
  • Assist with in-season A/P volume increase
  • Create and track art inventory in Woodland office - could extend to other locations.
  • Manage local R&M and equipment maintenance; building and office needs
Technology Administration
  • User Accounts
    • Provision new Colleague accounts
  • Track and bring attention to software and contract renewals.
  • Assisting IT Colleagues with miscellaneous items
The successful candidate would likely have a meaningful education in Mission related disciplines, have competent computer and software skills and have reasonable experience in commercial organizations—or be smart and intent enough to quickly learn. Additional key personal characteristics will be impeccable integrity, conscientiousness, decisiveness and self-confidence. We desire an individual willing to engage other colleagues to get things done. This individual must be willing and able to take initiative to accomplish their mission by gaining the support and help of others through intelligent persuasion and persistence.This position is for a person who enjoys working on a peer level with talented and committed colleagues, who has the self-confidence to pursue their convictions and work independently. Salary expected to be from $65,000 to $95,000, or other DOQ.Benefits: Morning Star offers a top-tier, comprehensive health plan, including medical, dental, and vision, and we pay the full monthly premiums for the Colleague and all eligible family members.
