Lincoln Wastewater System is one of 11 divisions of Transportation and Utilities (LTU), the largest department in the City of Lincoln. The LTU team provides transit, transportation, and utilities services year-round to the citizens of Lincoln. Lincoln Wastewater System is responsible for all aspects of operating and maintaining the sanitary sewer collection system and water resource recovery facilities. It is our mission to provide vital wastewater services to the citizens and customers of Lincoln, ensuring the highest possible levels of public health, economic growth, environmental quality, and fiscal responsibility for the community.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated, Administrative Aide I to join our team. In this role, you will perform administrative duties as the Wastewater Division's primary office staff to ensure the office runs efficiently and effectively. This is responsible work organizing, processing, and maintaining the office functions required for the Wastewater Division. Work involves preparing correspondence and reports; adhering to and interpreting administrative policy as it applies to departmental operations; preparing and processing personnel-related documents; and disseminating information. Strong communication skills and excellent customer service is required. The work may include clerical and accounting responsibilities with the majority of the work being performed with considerable independence.
Work Hours: Full time, 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Minimum Qualification: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by coursework in business education, business management or related field plus two years of experience in a responsible supervisory capacity; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge, abilities, and skills.
