The City and County of Broomfield (CCOB) is seeking a motivated, detailed focused individual to join our team. This individual will work with key staff in several departments, and under the direction of senior staff in the City/County Manager's Office and Department of Finance. In this critical role, you will work alongside staff in community planning, economics, finance, and development to research, develop and update, and maintain information about existing and future development projects and agreements. This position is ideal for a detail-focused individual, who is interested in the convergence of multiple disciplines to achieve a community's development and growth goals - while ensuring economic and fiscal vibrancy. .

Total Compensation Package

Salary Range: $33.61/hour - $45.47/hour

Job Purpose: This position plays a key role in advancing business and community development by delivering timely, accurate analysis and strategic recommendations for Community and Catalytic Development initiatives, including Urban Renewal Authority projects. Key responsibilities include managing development agreements, advising on business development strategies, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. As a subject matter expert, this role fosters cross-departmental collaboration to support the community's goals of financial sustainability and long-term resilience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the duties listed on the position job description, the following are additional duties for the position identified below. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

* Maintain and track existing development agreements and documents

* Monitor and report on obligations of existing agreements, including risks and liabilities

* Review agreement payment requests and work with Finance staff to ensure accurate and timely payment

* Assist in the preparation of future agreements to increase clarity and performance

* Review and report outcomes of specific development projects or development areas', such as annual revenue collections, revenue distribution payments to the entity, and specific requests from principal developers, special districts, and partner organizations related to existing or proposed developments

* Assist in translating agreement revenue and obligations into the annual budget with the collaboration of the Budget Manager.

Education

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Community Development/Planning, or a closely related field-required

Experience

* Two years of experience in Business, Finance, Public Administration or Community Development - required.

Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience.

Necessary Applicant Traits and Skills:

* Ability to organize, understand and manage technical agreements and documents, including identifying and interpreting performance outcomes and metrics.

* Proficiency in math knowledge and skills, such as college-level business or financial analysis

* Ability to work in high-performing groups on a variety of projects

* Demonstrated understanding of concepts of real estate development, business development, financial analysis, and community planning and development

* Skill in critical thinking

* Ability to handle confidential information

* Ability to communicate effectively and to collaborate and work well with others
