DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will provide support, assistance, and research to all departments while following internal protocols to advance the goals of the PA State Fire Academy. Your collaboration with administrative staff will involved contributing to the creation of managing report processing, performing data entry, ensuring qualify assurance, and addressing submissions from external partners. Work to include supporting all departments for the organizational operations as directed by the Administrative Officer 5 and/or the Assistant Fire Academy Training Services Administrator. Strong communication skills, proficiency with standard office equipment and software, effective organizational abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure are essential. Additionally, you should be able to lift, push, and pull various office files and equipment. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will receive the minimum starting salary listed on this posting. The starting salary is non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
