Job Description:
The Department of Internal Medicine is the largest department in the School of Medicine, with 11 divisions divided by sub-specialty. This position manages the fellowship programs for Rheumatology. This position also coordinated all of the medical student rotations and provides administration for all classes taught by the division's faculty. The primary responsibility of t is position are to direct the recruitment, academic and evaluation functions, and activities of the division's ACGME and non-ACGME fellowship programs. Duties will also include coordination of fourth-year medical student coursework activities; support of the division's various conferences and seminars; coordination of special events; providing clerical/administrative support for research, teaching and clinical activities of fellows and staff.   • BS or equivalent work experience
  • Skills, knowledge, ability, and experience in fellowship and/or other education programs or related processes .
  • C oordinate recruitment and interviewing process; plan, organize, and direct multiple s imultaneous activities and other events; process medical staff administration and professional billing packets; and create, organize, and coordinate schedules.
  • Thorough working knowledge of ACGME requirements, ABIM requirements, ECFMG guidelines, University administrative personnel policies and procedures relating to residents/fellows, affiliation agreements, and affirmative action on health/safety guiding pertaining to the fellowship/residency programs.
  • Demonstrated strong skill and proficiency in using various computer software programs and other specialized software applications as necessary for fellowship program administration. Proficient with PC and/or.MAC, Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) MylnfoValut (MIV), and MedHub.
  • Ability to run errands, make deliveries, and pick up or lift boxes up to 15 lbs.

Department Overview This position is for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Clinical Immunology within the Department of Internal Medicine. This position will oversee the Rheumatology fellowship program which currently has four fellows. They will also support the faculty and Volunteer Clinical Professors (VCP). The division has about 15 faculty and 20 VCPs.POSITION INFORMATION
