Administrative Assistant & Attendance Monitor (Full Time)Position Description EQA SchoolsEQA serves students who have dropped out, been expelled from, or have struggled academically or behaviorally in traditional settings and are looking for an accelerated path to graduation. There are three high school campuses, The NET: Central City which opened in 2011, The NET: Gentilly which opened in 2017, and a third high school campus, The NET: East, which opened in 2020 as a merger with ReNEW Accelerated High School. Students at the high schools earn a high school diploma and participate in internships, career counseling, and career training in various fields including construction, medical, and digital media. EQA also serves middle school students through The Bridge Middle School, a therapeutic program for 7th and 8th grade struggling students. For all settings, our goal is that our students leave school with the skills, confidence and experience necessary to succeed in the career and education path of their choice. Position SummaryThis position is a unique opportunity to help build the school you believe struggling students in New Orleans deserve. You will be the first person each student, parent, and visitor sees each day and as such you have a tremendous impact on their experience at The NET. The NET Administrative Assistant & Attendance Manager is responsible for:Providing Backup for the NOEOC Office Manager: Monitoring NOEOC entrance & student trafficSecurely checking students and visitors in & out of the buildingEstablishing and maintaining strong communication with students, teachers, and parents and family membersAnswering and directing phone calls and correspondencesReceiving and distributing packagesAttendanceResponding to enrollment inquiries and recruiting studentsEnrolling new students and obtaining recordsTracking attendance and analyzing attendance dataCalling absent students dailyDesigning and managing attendance mailings and inquiries Managing student transportationDeveloping attendance plans and initiatives to insure increases in individual and school attendanceAdministrative SupportManaging ordering and inventoryManaging basic HR functions like timesheets Supporting school leaders and coordinators with mailing, filing, calls and other supportsSupporting student and school eventsSupporting other projects and tasks as assignedPosition Requirements:AA, BA preferredDemonstrated record of working effectively with at risk young peopleRestorative orientation and skillful working with students exhibiting difficult behaviorsExceptional welcoming and customer service orientationDemonstrated record of excellent organizational and verbal and written communication Proficient in Microsoft programs and database management Skilled at multi-tasking, effective work planning, and executionVery detail oriented, trustworthy and able to keep confidentialityFlexible, open to change, quick-learning, self-directed, and able to manage in a highly dynamic and fast paced environmentLearning mindset dedicated to effectively and innovatively problem solving and constantly improvingCommitment to The NET's mission, vision and values DetailsCampus: The NET: East, 12000 Hayne Blvd. Start Date: ImmediateSchedule: 40 hours/week Monday-Friday. Schedule is 7:30-4:00pm Monday-Friday. School is year round, leave is tied to the School Leave schedule.Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 depending upon experience. Initial salary is set based on years of experience and degrees.
