Position Title:Administrative Assistant, Campus Activities & ProgramsPosition Type:Full timeLocation:Bucknell UniversityCategories:Staff Non-exemptJob Summary:As the Administrative Assistant for the Campus Activities and Programs (CAP) Center you will support the Associate Dean of Students and CAP Center staff in daily operations. This includes providing administrative support, managing the box office and student ambassadors, creating marketing materials, inputting events, and printing materials. You will also assist with divisional responsibilities like assessment, pre-orientation, and financial processes. Additionally, you will provide assistance with implementing social events and leadership development programs, as well as handling sensitive information professionally. The ideal candidate will effectively work with diverse students, groups, staff, and faculty.A REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS WILL COMMENCE FOLLOWING THE HOLIDAY BREAK ON JANUARY 6, 2025.Job Duties:Reporting Relationship:This role will report directly to the Associate Dean of Students, Campus Activities and Programs.What You'll Do: Administrative Support: Provides essential administrative support to the Associate Dean and other CAP Center professional staff. This includes overseeing the operations of the Elaine Langone Center Box Office, Student Mall Sales, and the CAP Center Student Ambassadors. Additionally, the Assistant handles sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism.Event Planning and Coordination: This includes creating and printing marketing materials for CAP Center events and student organizations, inputting events into the Events Management System, and printing materials for campus events. Additionally, the Assistant contributes to the implementation of social events and leadership development programs for the campus community.Divisional Support: Responsibilities include assessment, pre-orientation coordination, and financial processes. This includes a wide variety of tasks and working with diverse needs.Non Essential Functions: The job description's listed responsibilities and tasks are not exhaustive, additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.Work Setting: On campusWhat You'll Bring:
  • Education: High school diploma/GED.
  • Professional Work Experience: 3 years of administrative/office experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers and software such as Google drive word processing, spreadsheet, email and calendaring applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize deadlines and successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive confidential information in a responsible and appropriate manner.
  • Proactive approach to projects, problem solving, communication needs, and planning.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively interact with a wide range of individuals and a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Education: Bachelors Degree.
  • Professional Work Experience: Previous experience in a higher education setting.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an office setting, with or without accommodations, to include: sitting, standing, moving about the office and campus.
Job Exempt:NoSalary Range:17.16-21.45The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
