Job Summary

The mission of Dallas Theological Seminary as a professional, graduate-level school is to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide.

The Assistant to the Seminary Chaplain manages the administrative responsibilities for the Chaplain's Office and supports the Seminary Chaplain in providing pastoral care to all DTS students, staff, faculty, and their immediate families.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Oversee administrative tasks for the Chaplain's Office not covered by the Assistant to the Director of Chapel Programming.

* Assist the Seminary Chaplain in providing pastoral care to DTS students and employees at all locations-campuses, teaching sites, and online.

* Oversee Chaplain's Office prayer list-communicating new requests and updates on old requests.

* Provide administrative support necessary to help organize the speaker content (proclamation content) for chapel services, including speakers of special chapel weeks, (e.g., Spiritual Life Board, WEC, W.H. Griffith Thomas, etc.)

* Liaise between speakers (e.g., slides, approval forms, etc.) to the Chapel Production Team.

* Assist the Seminary Chaplain with budget management.

* Assist with administrative tasks for the Spiritual Life Board

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

* Three or more years of experience in an administrative support role

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

* Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. at times
