Job DescriptionDescription: The Administrative Assistant for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) Initiatives supports the administrative functions of the Juilliard's Office of EDIB Initiatives. As a member of the Office of the President, the Administrative Assistant works alongside the Director of EDIB Initiatives, the Program Manager for EDIB Partnerships and Access, and the Program Manager for EDIB Research and Strategy to manage key office functions and assist in the execution of programming, meetings, and community building events. A successful candidate will be able to contribute excellent social, organizational, and creative skill to a small and highly visible office that serves the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members of The Juilliard School. The salary for this role is $25 per hour. This role is part-time & temporary, working 25-29 hours per week until May 30, 2024, with opportunity for extension. About the Department: The Office of EDIB Initiatives creates community events, develops capacity building programs, and advises on policy and procedure in service of enlivening Juilliard's core value of EDIB for its students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.   • Oversee the logistics of events and programs including budgeting, communication, and evaluation;
  • Manage the office calendar, meetings minutes, and shared folder;
  • Maintain office program tracking systems;
  • Support ongoing development of the office's end of year report;
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and support EDIB engagement initiatives school-wide;
  • Support an annual Lincoln Center-wide conference;
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to the EDIB opportunities of a vibrant artistic community.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • One year of experience in arts administration
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to complete projects in a demanding work environment
  • Computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite and design tools
  • Clear, professional, and timely written and verbal communication skills
  • A friendly and caring demeanor for greeting visitors
  • Interest and excitement for institutional EDIB work
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a majority of days spent in-person
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends
Preferred Background:
  • Knowledge of Airtable
