Administrative Assistant for Global EngagementRose-Hulman Institute of Technologyhas an opening in the Center for Global Engagement for an AdministrativeAssistant. The Administrative Assistant forGlobal Engagement will field, screen, redirect, and respond to standardinquiries; answer questions independently, serve as a reference for policiesand procedures; refer complex inquiries to others and maintain work areaensuring a professional appearance. The position will draft routinecorrespondence; assemble materials for complex reports; may coordinatesubmission of articles; maintain list servs. Additionally, this position will provideprogram/project support; assist in preparing materials; maintainprogram/project calendars. The position will assist with programs/projects includinglogistics and promotion, as well as provide support for ESL program. The Administrative Assistant forGlobal Engagement will set up and maintain filing system and maintaindatabases; designs simple spreadsheets & materials from a variety ofinformation systems. Maintain and update pages within a content managementsystem according to pre-established schedules; make changes to the website asdirected. Working with and managing the Terredotta study abroad website andsoftware will be vital within this position. The position may update socialmedia pages; edit and add content to area support sites, course websites,employee sites, and publications/newsletters; schedule appointments, meetings,and locations within general guidelines using an electronic calendar; attendmeetings and prepare notes. The position will monitor departmentbudget for expenses and balances; process charges and P-Card purchases, alongwith simple and somewhat complex travel arrangements for employees/students;prepare and submit travel reimbursements; review accuracy of assigned charges; ordersupplies within guidelines. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and two to three years of professional workexperience. Qualified candidates will have highereducation experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellentinterpersonal and customer service skills, advanced skills in Microsoft OfficeSuite or related software. Must be comfortable learning and adapting to newprocesses and systems, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Must have advanced understanding of clerical procedures and systems such asrecordkeeping and filing, along with the ability to work independently.Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology isa STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focused institution,whose students' education and success are the nucleus of everything we strivefor.
