High School Diploma or Equivalent isrequired.

Additional requirements:

+ Two (2) years of office clerical work experience. An Associate degree may substitute for the required work experience.

+ One (1) year of customer service experience.

+ One (1) year experience answering a multi-line telephone.

+ One (1) year experience filing maintaining tracking reports.

+ One (1) year experience in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

+ Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.

+ Knowledge of office procedures and practices, methods of data collection.

+ Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions.

+ Ability to collect data and prepare reports.

+ Ability to understand, apply rules and regulations.

+ Ability to work independently.

+ Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

+ Ability to communicate effectively.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Receives and processes routine correspondence related to the qualification, examination, and licensure of five industries, investigating subject matter, preparing routine responses. Confers with companies and individuals in the industries regulated concerning statutory requirements.

Assists in reviews and evaluates qualification and license application forms, insurance forms and other material involved in the licensing of the five industries regulated by the Section.

Approves or disapproves the issuance and transfer of permits and registrations.

Reviews and assists in the implementation of statutes and rules, policies and procedures.

Acts as liaison between the Bureau and various interdepartmental entities such as accounting, data processing, management systems, and others.

Edit and distribute correspondence and documents of a routine nature.

Receive, screen, and forward phone calls for the Division and provide information as necessary and appropriate.

Prepares invoices and records in response to public records requests within established procedures.

Analyze and test sparklers for approval on an annual basis.

Coordinates and distributes mail daily for the Bureau.

Performs other related duties.
