JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is accepting applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Student Access and Academic Success department. The Administrative Assistant provides support for Multicultural Student Affairs, International Programs, and the McNair Scholars Program. This position spends 50% of the day supporting Multicultural Student Affairs and 50% of the day supporting International Programs and the McNair Scholars Program. Serving as the primary point of contact for the office, the Administrative Assistant provides exceptional customer service and makes appropriate referrals in response to inquiries. This role involves handling walk-ins, phone calls, and written requests from students, staff, parents, etc. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing departmental communications, including email correspondence, office newsletters, and maintaining the department\'s website. This is a full-time benefit and leave eligible position with a wage of \$18.00 per hour. Responsibilities: Send, receive, copy, and distribute communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision. Collect, analyze, and prepare various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums. Schedule appointments for staff and maintain staff office hours. Maintain department spaces including computer labs, lounges, and the Multifaith Space. Schedule logistics and secure resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations. Order supplies as necessary for the various departments. Assist with departmental deposits and transfers, monitor accounts; establish and maintain departmental blanket order accounts; any other purchasing, budgeting and record keeping processes deemed necessary while observing UW policies and procedures for spending departmental monies and maintaining records. Support staff with campus-wide events by creating brochures, notices, and other materials. Handle event logistics such as reservations, speaker arrangements, refreshments, and accommodations, as well as produce invitations, nametags, and certificates.
