Posting Details Position Information Position Title Administrative Assistant II Job Type Staff Position Information The Office of International Programs invites applications to applications for a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities Prepare, edit, format, and revise documents and materials; proofreads for grammatical, typographical and basic content errors. Develop, implement, and maintain paper and electronic filing systems that meet department needs and satisfy requirements for retention and information security. Enter, update, and retrieve information as needed; screen telephone calls, e-mail, and visitors. Independently handles routine matters and forwards remainder to appropriate parties. Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments. Prepare background and support materials following general instructions. May attend meetings and provide minutes. Make travel arrangements following general instructions and campus procedures. Perform necessary follow-up for vouchers, expense reports, and reimbursements. Gather and consolidate background information for reports. Utilizing available resources such as departmental files, policy and procedures documents, internet research, and communication with internal and external contacts. Order supplies and equipment. Oversee equipment maintenance; and may assist with department budget, updates of accounts, and creating routine reports. Performs other related duties as assigned. Classification 43-0000 Office and Administrative Support Occupations Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Three years of experience providing administrative support. Must have excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills. Must be dependable and confidential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of website development and management Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to train and be familiar with International Student Residency, Study Abroad, Faculty Exchange, and related Requirements.
