MADISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT #38TITLE: Administrative Assistant II for the Theater Director OVERVIEW: The Administrative Assistant II for the Theater Director will provide administrative support for the Madison Theater Department. This position requires an individual who manages multiple tasks simultaneously, interacts positively with staff, solves problems creatively, takes initiative and attends to details. The Administrative Assistant must be organized, efficient and possess a high level of professional maturity. Experience with public schools and non-profit organizations are an asset.QUALIFICATIONS:Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; Associates degree or 1 year of previous office experience required Excellent customer service (internal and external) skills via telephone, email, and in personExperience with event managementExperience with purchasing is preferredOutstanding written and oral communication skills; research skills; ability to analyze, think critically and explain alternatives clearly Strong technology and software skills including word processing, spreadsheet usage, presentation design and donor database General working knowledge of the Arizona non-profit communityAbility to creatively problem solve both independently and as part of a teamAbility to lift light objects (less than 40 pounds) to transport to and from event locationsWork independently with minimal supervisionBilingual (preferred)Contribute to the team by accomplishing additional duties as assignedPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:Manage purchase orders and work with accounting on coding of expendituresManage the Madison Center for the Arts The Madison budget and calendarAssist in booking The Madison eventsSupport the Community Development Coordinator and Theater DirectorAccurate and timely follow up and correspondenceAssist at special eventsRespond promptly to all requests and inquiries for theater rentalsGive tours for events and rentalsCoordinate, and manage all food, rooms, and transportation for all performancesLANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents in English as well as the ability to write routine correspondence in English SALARY SCHEDULE:20 hours/week Grade F Salary Range: $18.57-$22.98 (DOE)SUPERVISION & EVALUATION Theater Director
